Dislocate hosts an annual symposium, providing a platform for critical debate and discussion in relation to art, technology and locality. Panelists consist of artists, curators, theorists, architects, scientists, engineers and sociologists (amongst others), bringing together expert knowledge from various fields in an inter-disciplinary exchange, encouraging cross-fertilization of ideas and approaches. These panelists are not only from Japan but from many different parts of the world, further instigating international dialogues and a sharing of specific socio-cultural-political contexts.
