Dislocate believes in the importance of offering audiences exposure to new ideas and new approaches through the exhibition of fresh work, challenging formulated notions of art, technology and locality through direct experience and further activating discussion.

Works exhibited by Dislocate include not only those which directly utilize 'media technology' but also works of mixed/traditional medium which may comment upon media systems and our changing relation to place.

Dislocate aims to promote a firm engagement with and questioning of the space around us and in pursuing this objective attempts to present work and projects beyond the gallery space, placing them directly in the urban environment. Dislocate particularly encourages site specific and itinerant works which pursue an investigation of our surroundings and allow audiences to experience these spaces in a new way.
