Nge lay
Nge Lay (Myanmar)
Born 1979 in Pyin Oo Lwin, Myanmar. She graduated with a BA Art
Painting from the National University of Arts and Culture Yangon in
2003. She is a Yangon-based multi-media artist with a particular
interest in performance and photography, using everyday imagery and
settings to translate ideas about life. She has exhibited a number
of group exhibitions not only in Myanmar but also abroad including
Asia and South-East Asia. She is a residency artist at Youkobo ART
SPACE between July-September 2011, supported by Japan Foundation
JENESYS program.
