Lushan Liu applies her artistic practice to investigate the phenomenon of global migration under social transformation and challenges performative activities as a way to confront the idea of cultural otherness. Her projects have uniquely depicted the geographic non-place of immigrants and calls for new ways of communication in our fragmented national time/space.
